SPIN‘s 2014 Artist of the Year, Sia, has just released the bare-bones music video for her latest 1000 Forms of Fear single, “Elastic Heart.” Featuring the same dancer from her widely acclaimed “Chandelier” music video, Maddie Ziegler (and Hollywood star Shia LaBeouf), the clip focuses on an exhausting emotional exorcism that unfolds inside an oversized birdcage.
Ziegler sports the same blonde bob wig and tan bodysuit that she did in the “Chandelier” video, and her performance here is no less impassioned. She beats her chest, strikes out at LaBeouf, and scurries around the cage with manic energy. It’s incredibly captivating and totally odd.
