Who knew that Sharon Van Etten‘s biggest fan was a 51-year-old newscaster in New Zealand? Well, that’s apparently the case: When anchorman John Campbell couldn’t make Van Etten’s Auckland concert last night, his colleagues decided to bring Van Etten to him. The singer-songwriter not only made a surprise appearance (recorded live from the Kings Arms Tavern) during Campbell’s broadcast, but she performed a live rendition of “Tarifa” from last year’s Are We There.
