See Wax Fang's Sinister 'Mirror Mirror' Video

Kentucky rock revivalists go through the looking glass

Harley Brown

Back in August, we brought you the rock-tacularly theatrical "Mirror, Mirror" from Louisville, Kentucky’s Wax Fang. Now, these friends of Jim James have revealed the track's accompanying video that might just outdo the song’s epic guitar throwdowns. It’s unclear what happens — especially at the end, which hangs onto a cliff with long, gray fingernails  — when a wig-wearing woman in a white dress gets sucked through her mirror and into a dungeon of humanoid extras from either The Labyrinth or Lord of the Rings, but it doesn’t look good.
