Scissor Sisters to Cut New Album

Elton John, a noted fan of Scissor Sisters, will play piano on the New York band’s upcoming second album.

The sunglasses-savvy artist plays on “I Can’t Decide,” a track that will be featured on the band’s upcoming second album, slated for release later this year. Scissor Sisters’ Babydaddy, meanwhile, will do his own part to keep things fresh, as he learned how to play banjo and may put some of those skills to use on the new album.

The track “Paul McCartney,” which will also be on the new project, is a song that “[Jake Shears] wrote in a dream, which is quite nice,” Ana Matronic said, according to NME.com. “It was a really amazing dream that he had about Paul McCartney, so it’s definitely a homage. But it doesn’t sound like any Paul McCartney song I’ve heard.”

Anyone lucky enough to see the Scissor Sisters at Coachella got a little taste of what the new album will sound like.
