SBTRKT Shares Highly Trippy Untitled Audio-Visual Experiment

SBTRKT Untitled Video Audio Experiment

It’s been a minute since we’ve heard from SBTRKT, the once-anonymous post-dubstep project overseen by Aaron Jerome that helped launch the career of Drake pal and Solange signee Sampha. The London producer dropped his excellent self-titled debut album way back in 2011, and aside from putting his own touch on Drizzy’s “Girls Love Beyoncé” and sharing a welcome-but-very-late video for “Trials of the Past,” he’s left his fans largely unfed. But the man has now shared a trippy visual for an unnamed song, which you can experience above. The bleakly brooding track (which has kin in Boards of Canada’s Tomorrow’s Harvest) is accompanied by morphing metallic shapes dreamed up by SBTRKT himself in collaboration with Lorenzo Durantini and A Hidden Place. On your way out, check Jerome’s other recent share, “IMO,” which has yet to be mixed and mastered but sounds lovely nonetheless:
