If you’ve been having an alright day thus far, prepare for it to get emotionally wrecked by Grammy-nominated Sam Smith’s new music video for his In the Lonely Hour standout “Lay Me Down.” The visuals are starkly contrasting, opening on a somber funeral filled with candles and all-black suits before jumping backwards in time to a wedding scene, with the implication being that Smith’s (fictional) groom is the one in the casket.
