Run the Jewels Recruit ‘Police Academy’ Star Michael Winslow on ‘Oh My Darling Don’t Cry’

Run the Jewels Michael Winslow Police Academy Oh My Darling Don't Cry Stream

In the past month, Killer Mike has taken on a second career as a guest political commentator on outlets as wide as CNN, Fox News, and TMZ, but he’s also been prepping the second full-length album from his duo with El-P, Run the Jewels. That record is out October 27, but they’ve shared a new single today via Adult Swim that features Police-Academy-sound-effects dude Michael Winslow as a “guest robot voice.”

In addition to the apocalyptic rhyming on the single, Mike and El-P have also shared news of the Run the Jewels 2 pre-order program, which features a whole host of standard packages and some stuff that’s a little… weirder. For $10 you can snag a .wav or FLAC download of the new record, $26 gets you a double LP, but then things just get stranger from there. If you’re down to drop $7,500 you can get on the guest list (with a plus-one and backstage access) for up to 10 shows, which seems a bit exorbitant but still sane.

A purchase of the $50,000 “Meow the Jewels” package means the duo will remake the whole album using nothing but cat sounds, and if for some reason you have $10 million to drop, Run the Jewels will retire and only release one song a year for your ears only. There’s a whole host of other bizarre and prohibitively expensive prizes that you can buy, but buyer beware. The site notes that for any pre-order over $35,000 the duo “reserves the right to take your money and not fulfill any of its obligations as outlined.” So check the track out below and if you’re feeling lucky with your tens of thousands of dollars head over and pre-order the new record.?
