Sheesh, with the Breeders, Deerhunter, Liars, Black Lips, Matt & Kim, and many others, it's hard to imagine the bill for the final season of JellyNYC's McCarren Park Pool Parties getting any better. But, against all logic, it just did -- welcome Ronnie Spector to the lineup.

Following the season opener June 29 with sets from the Hold Steady, the Loved Ones, and J Roddy & the Business, the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame songstress will hit the vast empty pool in Brooklyn and serenade throngs of fans July 6 when she appears alongside the Rabbit Factor Revue, featuring Roscoe Robinson, Ralph "Soul" Jackson, Hermon Hitson, and Wiley and the Checkmates. So far, these are the only two confirmed dates for the Pool Parties' final season.

Remember, while you wait to rock out to the kick ass bill and test the new slip'n'slide, whet your pallet with SPIN.com's coverage from last year's McCarren Park Pool Parties, including live footage of Band of Horses, Man Man, Superchunk and more.

For old time's sake, here are some Ronnie faves from YouTube:
