Rock Hall of Fame Hit by Monster Storm Sandy

Though the massive storm Sandy has wreaked the most havoc along the Eastern Seaboard, its destruction has also stretched inland, all the way to the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in Cleveland. As Cleveland’s Fox 8 reports (above), some of the siding blew off the higher reaches of the building amid gusts of more than 60 mph. The Hall tweeted that it would open an hour later than usual today, at 11 a.m. EST, “due to severe weather.” Luckily, though, a spokesman told Fox 8 the building suffered no structural or flooding damage, despite its location on the shore of Lake Erie. N.W.A., Kraftwerk, Public Enemy, and Rush are among the nominees for the Rock Hall’s 2013 induction ceremony, which takes place April 18, 2013, albeit in the usually sunny climes of Los Angeles.
