RL Grime and Problem Party With a Bag of Mollies on ‘Secondary’

RL Grime Problem 'Secondary' High Beams Fools Gold

Back in March, we heard the inspired team-up between Chicago R&B riser Jeremih and Los Angeles bedroom beatsmith Shlohmo, “Bo Peep (Do U Right).” Now, the latter’s Wedidit Collective compatriot RL Grime follows collaborative suit by wrangling the molly-loving, oft-AutoTuned singing and rapping L.A. resident known as Problem. The pair comes together on “Secondary,” in which we handily learn our vocal host’s M.O. when it comes to prioritizing major events in his life: 1) getting money; 2) everything else. For his part, Grime laces us with a beat that’s a little bit wavy and a little bit wonky — crisp and catchy material that helps explain the fact that A-Trak’s Fool’s Gold imprint is releasing the forthcoming EP from which this hails. “Secondary” will be found on the High Beams EP (that’s the art above), out July 16 and currently previewable in snippet form on RL’s SoundCloud.
