Rihanna’s ‘You Da One’ Not as Dirty as Advertised

Both VH1 and MTV previewed Rihanna’s November 21 disc Talk That Talk and reported that the talk in question is filthy. So where’s the hotness on her latest single, “You Da One”? RiRi is giving us a half-limp reggae jam full of platitudes like, “You’re the one I dream about all day.” There may be a glimpse of raunch at the 2:40 mark (note the radio edit, via Rap-Up), but this is more chaste than Britney’s bonus verse on “S&M.”

Still, we have high hopes for Rihanna’s follow-up to Loud: It includes a guest spot from Jay-Z, has production by Dr. Luke, boasts a sample of the xx’s “Intro,” and borrows the guitars from Metallica’s “Wherever I May Roam.”
