Rihanna and Chris Brown: The Reunion

Less than a month after their pre-Grammy altercation, during which Chris Brown allegedly assaulted Rihanna, leaving her with horrific injuries, the couple have reconciled.

“They’re together again. They care for each other,” a source told People.com, confirming that Brown — who’s attending anger management classes — called Rihanna on her 21st birthday, Feb 20. “They’ve reached out to each other. It’s been mutual.”

The couple reportedly reunited at a house owned by Sean “Diddy” Combs on Star Island near Miami, FL, where Brown was photographed riding a jet ski. Jay-Z, who pronounced Brown a “walking dead man,” sent one of his bodyguards to accompany Rihanna.

“She’s not listening to anyone,” an unnamed friend of Rihanna’s told Usmagazine.com. “And of course Puff got involved in this.”

Over the weekend, Rihanna’s father, Ronald Fenty, commented on the reunion: “I love my daughter with whatever road she takes. I’m behind her win or lose. I will be supportive. If that’s the road she wants to choose, I’m behind her. I hope to see her soon. I talked to her after her birthday, and she told me she’s OK.”

Fenty’s comments are a different from those he made to People.com several weeks ago. “If it were me, I’d move on,” he said.

Meanwhile, Brown isn’t putting his music career on hold despite his March 5 court date in Los Angeles. According to E! Online, Brown has been spending his nights in Miami’s Hit Factory studio recording a new album.
