Rick Ross Summons Al Pacino for Lame ‘Scarface’ Homage in ‘No Games’ Video

rick ross, future, no games, scarface

Rick Ross picked the wrong time to drop a Scarface-biting music video. Just one day after Drake paired his New Wavy Nothing Was the Same standout “Hold On, We’re Going Home” with a mini-action movie set in mid-’80s Miami, the Bawse has shared a limp clip for recent single “No Games” that lifts liberally from the overblown gangster epic. Rather than actually appear on-screen with Future, who guests on the blockbuster track, the Maybach Music leader teams up with Al Pacino’s iconic Tony Montana. The camera cuts between black-and-white shots of Ross lip-synching and shrugging his way through his verses, and footage culled from Scarface. While Drake rushed in, guns blazing, to save his leading lady, Ricky Rozay lets Pacino do his dirty work. Guess dude’s too busy prepping his sixth LP — modestly titled Mastermind — for its fourth-quarter release to worry about playing games. (Oh, and word to Grand Theft Auto V.)
