Report: Amy Winehouse Arrested on Suspicion of Assault

The Brit songstress allegedly punches one and head-butts another at North London pub early Wednesday (April 23) morning.

It's a hard knock life for Amy Winehouse; after voluntarily walking into a London police station for questioning today (April 25), the 24-year-old Grammy Award-winning songbird was arrested on suspicion of assault, MTV.com reports. According to Brit tabloids, the arrest stems from an incident early Wednesday (April 23) morning, when Winehouse alleged punched a patron at a North London bar for obstructing her game of pool, and head-butted another outside while hailing a cab.

Winehouse is reportedly still in police custody and could face up to six months in prison if convicted. The latest run-in arrives in the wake of a drug arrest in Norway, and an investigation probing the singer's role in her husband Blake Fielder-Civil's charges of perverting the course of justice, which, ironically, also involves a bar fight. Shucks, imagine that -- Winehouse, Fielder-Civil, and Pete Doherty all behind bars.
