Reclusive Neutral Milk Hotel Frontman Reappears – EXCLUSIVE VIDEO!

Jeff Mangum, the reclusive former Neutral Milk Hotel frontman, joined former Athens, Georgia natives Olivia Tremor Control on stage last night at New York’s Bowery Ballroom, according to Billboard.com. Mangum and the members of Olivia Tremor Control were all part of the Elephant Six musical collective, which also includes Dressy Bessy, Apples in Stereo, and the recently-defunct Beulah. Neutral Milk Hotel’s last album, In the Aeroplane Over the Sea, reached cult status and was included in Spin‘s list of 100 Greatest Albums: 1985-Now. According to eyewitnesses, Mangum had tears in his eyes as he sang, “I Have Been Floated,” off OTC’s 1999 album, Black Foliage: Animation Music. The Olivia Tremor Control is currently on tour, playing a smattering of dates in major cities.
