Watch Real Estate Play Entire ‘Atlas’ Album Live

real estate, atlas, album, live

Real Estate‘s Atlas doesn’t arrive until March 4, but you can listen to the entire album right now. As SPIN pointed out recently, the studio version has been streaming on iTunes Radio for the last several days. Now, NPR has shared footage of the New Jersey-bred band performing the record in full. Real Estate took the stage at New York City’s SubCulture on February 27 to glide through Atlas as part of NPR’s First Listen Live series. The easy-going five-piece played the follow-up to 2011’s Days in order, opening with the cresting guitar-work of “Had to Hear,” and eventually moving on to lead single “Talking Backwards,” the “April’s Song” instrumental, the jazz-imbued centerpiece that is “The Bend,” and the resplendent “Crime.”

Watch all those and more above. To get a tour of frontman Martin Courtney’s Brooklyn apartment, check out SPIN’s In My Room video starring the singer-guitarist. And for a fuller look at Real Estate and Atlas, read SPIN’s recent feature, The Boys Next Door: Real Estate’s Subtle Charms.
