A close-up look at two acts from our 'Changing Face of Hip-Hop' issue

In our December issue, contributing writer Brandon Soderberg explored dozens of acts that comprise hip-hop’s new underground, including Cities Aviv, an arty loner from Memphis whose Digital Lows is punctuated by experimental noise interludes, and Oakland weedheads Main Attrakionz, who have generated a web of producers manufacturing blissed-out “cloud rap.” SPIN’s video crew rode along with both acts recently to get a taste of their behind-the-scenes lives:
