It's no secret that Lil Wayne is a fan of cartoons and video games — consider the rapper's Capcom-sponsored, Street Fighter-styled tour with Drake, set to kick off tonight in Saratoga, New York — but he's just one of the many hip-hop stars who hold the still-popular Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles in high esteem. Though the Turtles made their first appearance in a 1984 comic book, they've managed to sustain their fame long enough to get regular shoutouts from a pretty heavyweight roster of rappers, including LL Cool J, Lil Wayne, Drake, Lil Boosie, Ab-Soul, and many more. In honor of the Turtles' new movie, in theaters today, SPIN has compiled some of our favorite rap tracks, and some of the weirdest too (we're looking at you, Partners in Kryme), that explicitly reference the human-sized talking reptiles better known as Leonardo, Donatello, Michelangelo, and Raphael.

Stream it below and let the Saturday morning memories wash over you.
