Lamb of God's Randy Blythe has got a story to tell. Following the tragic death of a Czech fan at a show abroad in 2010, the Virginia-born metal singer was arrested, detained, and tried for manslaughter. Fortunately he was acquitted of all charges and even even shared a tender moment with the deceased's family, who wished him well. But as reported last month, his Prague trial left the man and his band flat broke

Enter publisher De Capo Press. Antiquiet reports that Blythe will pen a memoir for release in the spring of 2014. They quoted a press release in which the already known-to-be eloquent man approached the subject with confidence and sensitivity. Also noted: He will be writing the book himself without the assistance of a ghostwriter, as is oft the case when unpublished authors find themselves in newsworthy situations.

"While I've dreamed of being a published author almost since I began to read," Blythe said, "I never imagined my first book would center around such a sad topic. Sometimes though, life unexpectedly provides you a story that needs to be told. I believe this one does (for several different reasons, not just for the benefit of myself), so I will tell it with the respect and dignity all involved deserve. This will be a good read, I promise you, and I hope some good comes of it."
