  • It's about time: The Ramones are getting their first Grammy. The pioneering punk band will be honored at an event in Los Angeles on February 12, a day before the 53rd annual Grammy Awards ceremony is held. [Billboard]

  • Lady Gaga says her new album, titled Born This Way, features her "most innovative" work yet, and will cross numerous genres. "[It's] a marriage of electronic music with major, epic, dare I even say, metal or rock 'n' roll, pop, anthemic style melodies with really sledge-hammering dance beats," she says. [BBC]

  • Brit nu-rave band Klaxons will release a new EP on Christmas Day for free, via their official site. Landmarks of Lunacy features unreleased material the band recorded in 2008 during early sessions for their second LP, Surfing the Void, the one with one the year's best album covers. [NME]

  • U2's Spider-Man musical will continue with new safety regulations, imposed after a leading stuntman was rushed to the hospital after falling from a high platform during a performance Tuesday. Wednesday's show was subsequently canceled. The production, Broadway's most expensive ever at $65 million, has been plagued with setbacks and delays. It's scheduled to officially open in February.
