After rampant speculation, Radiohead have been announced as one of the headliners for the inaugural Outside Lands Music & Arts Festival, a three-day event set to descend on the city's scenic Golden Gate Park Aug. 22-24. Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers and Jack Johnson also top the bill. The newfound festival will be presented by the Bay Area's Another Planet Entertainment and Bonnaroo principals Superfly Productions and Starr Hill Presents. A full lineup and ticketing information will be announced in the coming weeks.
And, like several other festivals this year, Outside Fest will include numerous environmentally conscious efforts, utilizing carbon offsetting and recycling programs onsite. One eco-minded Thom Yorke, two "green" summer festivals. Coincidence? We think not.
The festival is so new, it doesn't even have a website. Stay tuned for details as they emerge, and get more info at sfoutsidelands.com.
