Queens of the Stone Age brought two highlights from Daft Punk-dethroning new album ...Like Clockwork to Jimmy Kimmel Live! last night. SPIN cover boy Josh Homme and his fiercely expert band first bludgeone the TV crowd with single "My God Is the Sun" (above), then eased back into bouncy strums and svelte falsetto on "I Sat by the Ocean" (below). Those are the same songs QOTSA performed in June on Late Show With David Letterman, but they've lost none of their dark tensions. Letterman gushed that he wanted to join the band — Kimmel's show format didn't give him that chance, but it's a safe bet he prefers Homme to Morrissey. For more QOTSA, Lollapalooza will be live-streaming their set this weekend.
