Seminal British punk band Buzzcocks are set for a massive North American tour this Spring, with a 22-gig trek launching in May 11 in Washington, DC, and wrapping June 7 in San Diego, CA. See the full itinerary below!

Since their 1981 breakup, the proto punks have reunited a number of times, most recently in 2006-2007 when their tour included a headlining spot at SPIN’s 2007 SXSW party. For the upcoming tour, original guitarist/vocalists Pete Shelley and Steve Diggle will be joined by 2006 tourmate Danny Farrant on drums, and bassist Chris Remington.

Pioneers of the late-’70s DIY movement, the band’s high-energy, radio-friendly punk has, for over three decades, influenced everyone from Green Day to Nirvana to R.E.M. Three recently released SPIN-approved reissues of 1978’s Another Music in a Different Kitchen and Love Bites, and 1979’s A Different Kind of Tension include previously unreleased songs, live tracks, and rare session takes.

The band released their last studio record, Flat-Pack Philosophy, in 2006, but Spinner recently reported Diggle will release a solo LP this spring.
