Prince Ditches His Guitar After Slaying 'Bambi' Solo on 'Fallon'

For his next trick, Purple One drills down on "Screwdriver"

Prince doesn't say "thank you" or shake hands when he finishes a late-night talk show performance. No, the Purple One keeps quiet, throws his guitar, and then walks offstage. At least that's what The Artist did on Late Night With Jimmy Fallon last night (March 1), after a stupefying rendition of 1979 sex-screech single "Bambi." Prince can fly his freak flag as proudly and weirdly as he wants if he keeps turning in audience-ravaging guitar solos like the one below. Power-poppy new single "Screwdriver" is no slouch either — Prince's backup string-slayer briefly hijacks the show at the 2:15 mark up above — but nothing can touch Prince when he rekindles a classic track. Not even Jimmy Fallon. Watch "Screwdriver" up top and spot "Bambi" down below.
