At a press conference last night at New York's Apollo Theater, Prince announced his return to the stage, and while he was unclear about when his tour will kick off, he did say it will begin on a "purple day in December in the year 2010." will feature a lineup of guests including Janelle Monae, Maceo Parker, Mint Condition, Esperanza Spalding and Cassandra Wilson. (Comedian Sinbad will also make appearances.)

"Bring your friends, bring your children," Prince said. "And bring foot spray, because it's going to be funky."
