Presale for Weller’s NYC Three-Night Stand Gone in Minutes

In just about an hour, fans snatched up all the presale tickets for Paul Weller’s three-night stand at NYC’s Irving Plaza Jan. 29-31, but fret not, as general admission tickets for all three shows will go onsale this Friday at noon EST via ticketmaster.com. But it was a wild day today, when the presale for the shows kicked off at 10 A.M. EST. Presale tickets for the first night, when Paul will honor his work with the Jam, were gone in just four minutes, and the three-day commemorative passes were snapped up in just ten minutes. By 11 A.M., all the presale tickets for all three nights were completely spoken for.

Spin and Adidas Originals have teamed up to bring Weller to New York for these special performances, ones that will not be duplicated anywhere else in the world. As previously reported, each night will have a specific focus on one part of Weller’s career: On Jan. 29, Weller will pay special attention to the songs of the Jam, then the next night he’ll turn the spotlight on music from the Style Council. On the Jan. 31, Weller will conclude with a career-spanning set. All three shows celebrate the release of Hit Parade, a Paul Weller box set which hits stores on Jan. 23.
