INTERVIEWSThe Postal Service Reunion Expands Into Full-On Headlining Tour
Duo announce first top-billed dates in a decade
The Postal Service aren't giving up on their nascent reunion after their previously reported festival dates. The winsome laptop-poppers today announced their first headlining shows in a decade.
The nine headlining dates span from California to France, and the core duo of Death Cab for Cutie's Ben Gibbard and Dntel's Jimmy Tamborello will be bringing along a proper band including Jenny Lewis (Rilo Kiley, Jenny & Johnny) and Laura Burhenn (Mynabirds, Bright Eyes).
The shows coincide with the deluxe reissue of 2003's sleeper hit Give Up, which finally went platinum last year. Give Up: Deluxe 10th Anniversary Edition is due out April 9 on Sub Pop, which has already sold more copies of the original record than it has of any album other than Nirvana's Bleach.
