Be prepared to party like it’s 1996: two major alt-rock bands who have been in the limelight for the past ten years may team up to tour later this year. Foo Fighters’ frontman Dave Grohl alluded to a possible Foo Fighters/Weezer bill this morning on The Howard Stern Show. According to Billboard.com, the tour plans may not be finalized until later next week. The Foo Fighters just released a double album, In Your Honor, while Weezer recently put out Make Believe. Thus far, the Foo Fighters have only scheduled two North American dates, on Thursday, June 16 in Toronto and Saturday, June 18 in Roswell, New Mexico. Weezer is in the midst of a European jaunt.
