Watch Popstrangers' Asteroid-Enriched 'Heaven' Video

Retro-leaning mindtrip comes from New Zealand outfit's debut LP 'Antipodes'

Harley Brown

Remember Third Rock from the Sun, Rebel Without a Cause, and Heaven’s Gate? So do Popstrangers, the New Zealand outfit cramming all those references and more—including a "Ted Bundy-type character whose captive gets Stockholm syndrome," according to director Luke Mcpake—into the video for "Heaven", the latest single from their forthcoming debut LP Antipodes (our February 26 via Carpark). To unite all of these disparate characters, Mcpake captures them as they prepare for Earth's collision with an asteroid. We won’t give the ending away, but let’s just say it’s a good omen for the impending apocalypse.
