Dragging a brown bag up a hill

The Pixies released their first studio album in over two decades, Indie Cindy, back in April and today they've emerged with a mobius strip of a music video for "Silver Snail" (via The Wall Street Journal).

The Mount Emult-directed clip is just another in the series of high-minded visuals that accompany the project, but this one is particularly elusive. A man drags a load across a frozen field, is taken captive by men in masks, and then ... it just starts again. It's a four-minute take on Lost Highway's mechanics, but without any of the stuff that makes that movie make any sense.

Check it out and be baffled above.
