Even if you missed the Pixies sold-out comeback tour, you can now view it for all eternity. On September 20, the Pixies will release a concert DVD called The Pixies Sell Out. A major chunk of the DVD was taken from the band’s July 3, 2004 performance in Belfort, France, but there is also some stateside bonus footage from the 2004 Coachella Festival, the Austin City Limits Festival, and the New Orleans Voodoo Festival. There have been rumblings lately about the Pixies releasing an album of new material, but there has yet to be specific confirmations of the rumors. The Pixies are slated to play an acoustic set this weekend at the storied Newport Folk Festival in Newport, Rhode Island, before they play a bunch of dates in Europe, including the Reading and Leeds Festivals.
