Enon/Brainiac's John Schmersal sings lead

Brad Weber has put in time on percussion in Caribou's live band, and so far he's put out a couple of digital-only EPs as Pick a Piper. On April 2, the Toronto-based songwriter and producer's project will release its self-titled debut album via Mint Records, and first advance track "All Her Colours" should please fans of floaty, polyrhythmic dance-pop that mixes organic drum sounds with synths, found-sound samples, and electronics — in other words, calling all kids (and all Caribou fans). Members of Ruby Suns, Born Ruffians, and Braids lend guest vocals to the album; singing lighter-than-air vocals on this one is John Schmersal, from beloved indie-rock bands Enon and Brainiac and, not coincidentally, another member of Caribou's touring contingent.
