SPIN recently caught up with Phoenix, Local Natives, the Constellations, and the Postelles, plus comedians Margaret Cho and Baron Vaughn, to find out which Vegas hotels they like best and why.

The hotelsarethe appeal of Las Vegas. Larger-than-life constructions boast themes from Paris to New York, and each exterior is resplendent with electric lights.”It’s just very glamorous, beautiful, and exciting,” comedienne Margaret Cho told SPIN about the overall appeal of the hotel scene. “There’s an electricity in the air that’s very palpable.”

Local Natives vocalist Taylor Rice thinks that electricity comes from the glass pyramid at the top of the Luxor Hotel.”I just really imagined that you would be imbued with a lot of magical powers,” he professed about why he likes the illuminated eye in the sky.

Christian Mazzalai of Phoenix shares that sentiment. “It looks cool. It’s a beautiful black pyramid” he told SPIN about the awesome obelisk.

The Postelles make music with flourishes of ’50s du-wop. So, when it comes to resorts, they prefer those that pay homage to old school Vegas.Vocalist David Dargahi‘s favorite place is the Flamingo, which has hosted Frank Sinatra and Sammy Davis Jr. — some of Dargahi’s idols – but he also likes Treasure Island.”I think it’s really fun and it has a great casino,” he told SPIN.
