Daft Punk revealed that Pharrell Williams made the guest list for the French duo's upcoming album, Random Access Memories (due May 21 from Columbia Records), by dropping a trailer for the pending full-length at Coachella this past weekend. Now, DP DJs Thomas Bangalter and Guy-Manuel de Homem-Christo have shed some more light on Pharrell's Random contributions via the latest entry in their "Collaborators" video series.

Following the format of previous clips starring Giorgio Moroder, Todd Edwards, and Nile Rodgers, this new short features Williams sharing his thoughts on the long-awaited follow-up to 2005's Human After All and making lofty proclamations as to the effect Random Access Memories will have on humanity.

"They're not bound by time and space," Williams says of Daft Punk's two helmet-headed key players, before adding that the forthcoming LP sounds "kind of like the mid-'70s and early '80s of a different universe and dimension, not of this one." That description falls in line with other reports that "The Robots" — as Williams and Rodgers call them — drew from the past to map out their future, but Pharrell gets even farther out there with some of his other comments: "This music represents the freedom of, like, all human beings."

"A six-year-old can enjoy this album like a 33-year-old, just like a 66-year-old, because it is music," the all-star producer and "Get Lucky" singer says. "You don't need MDMA for this music because the music is so incredibly vivid."
