They must have a cot made up for Pete Doherty in every London precinct. For the second time in a month, the Babyshambles frontman has been arrested for suspicion of driving under the influence. “Officers arrested the driver of the vehicle, a 26-year-old man, on suspicion of driving under the influence of drink or drugs,” a spokeswoman for the London Metropolitan Police told NME.com. Back in November, Doherty checked himself into rehab after ex-girlfriend Kate Moss decided to clean up her act (read more) only to relapse weeks later (read more).
Legal woes are the least of Doherty’s worries these days according to the NY Post‘s Page Six. The tabloid says that Pete’s drug dealer, Owen O’Dwyer, has HIV and wants Doherty to get tested posthaste. “I’m terrified Pete might have HIV,” O’Dwyer says. “We didn’t share needles but we kept our needles in the same glass. I’m worried blood on the needles may have mixed.”
