  • Punk goddess Patti Smith tackled Adele‘s smash “Rolling in the Deep” at a New York City concert last week, adding a tough, garage-rock edge to the British singer’s polished anthem. Audio has just hit the web, which you can hear here (via TwentyFourBit).

  • Blake Sennett has confirmed that Rilo Kiley have broken up, after the songwriter was quoted in an interview last week saying there was “deception” and “disloyalty” among the band members. In a Facebook post over the weekend, Sennett , who’s promoting his side-project the Elected, writes,”As far as the band being over? We are. Rilo Kiley is officially broken up. It’s sad but it happens.” [The Elected]

  • Several people were injured at the Ottawa Bluesfest in Canada this weekend when a stage collapsed during Cheap Trick‘s set. The band escaped unharmed, but the AP reports one man is in serious condition with abdominal, pelvic, and leg injuries, while eight others have received treatment for minor injuries.     Little Dragon‘s third studio album Ritual Union is streaming in its entirety at NPR. The Swedish group will drop the record on July 26.

  • The Twilight Singers will wrap up their current tour by performing the group’s second album, Blackberry Belle, in its entirety, at their September 17 show in San Francisco, CA. Frontman Greg Dulli will be joined by longtime collaborator Mark Lanegan and Apollonia Kotero, who guest on the record. Tickets go on sale July 24 via Great American Music Hall.
