Panic Joins 'Nightmare Before Xmas' Redux

Panic! at the Disco, Fall Out Boy, and others have contributed to a two-disc soundtrack accompanying the re-release of the cult flick.

Thirteen years after its initial release, Tim Burton's now-cult favorite, The Nightmare Before Christmas, is getting a musical makeover thanks to artists like Fall Out Boy, Panic! at the Disco, Marilyn Manson, Fiona Apple, She Wants Revenge, and more. The goth-ish flick will be back in theaters Oct. 20 in a new 3-D format, and to celebrate, those artists have covered the film's songs for a two-disc edition of the soundtrack, which hits stores Oct. 24, according to MTV News. Panic!, for their part, have covered "This is Halloween" -- sung in the film by the citizens of Halloweentown -- with a 20-piece orchestra. Fall Out Boy cover main character Jack Skellington's "What's This?" while Fiona Apple covers "Sally's Song." Those tracks are all on the second disc, while the first features Danny Elfman's entire original score for the film.
