Chino Moreno has been focusing on his † † † (Crosses) side-project lately, appearing on Jimmy Kimmel Live! and sitting down for an interview with SPIN, but the Deftones leader has just shared a video for his other other band, Palms. Directed by Adam Mason, the clip acts as a companion to “Mission Sunset,” a 10-minute epic from Palms’ self-titled 2013 debut album. Billed on YouTube as a “short film,” the piece tells the story of a tragic breakup, using time jumps to slowly reveal a narrative marked by heartbreak, infidelity, and, ultimately, death. In other words, just the sort of love story one should embrace on Valentine’s Day.
