New York noise-poppers the Pains of Being Pure at Heart released Belong two and a half years ago, but that excellent album's titular track suddenly has a music video. As Stereogum points out, frontman Kip Berman shared the unreleased short on his personal Tumblr early Monday, with no commentary except for the directorial credit: Brad and Brian Palmer. The clip finds the band in makeup befitting their affinity for bands like Depeche Mode and the Cure, performing on an MTV-style show dubbed, ahem, Alternative Notions. Eventually, the group's more chaotic inclinations win the day.
