Metric and Sigur Ros will also serenade you in Montreal
This August, Montreal's Parc Jean-Drapeau will welcome the Black Keys, Snoop Dogg, Justice, Metric, and Sigúr Rós as headliners for the Osheaga Music and Arts Festival. In what appears to be a comeback for the year 2008, MGMT, Bloc Party, Feist, Franz Ferdinand, Passion Pit, and Yeasayer are among the bill's supporting cast (via CoS).
Osheaga has been held annually at the park, which is located on Montreal's Île Sainte-Hélène, since 2006, with the intention of "presenting a mix of today’s most avant-garde emerging artists juxtaposed against those internationally known artists who appeal to the most discerning music lover." While bands are still the primary focus of the six-year-old festival's lineup, the Weeknd, A$AP Rocky, Aloe Blacc, Amadou and Mariam, and Zeds Dead all fill out the not-indie-rock bracket for the August 3-5 weekend.
Three-day passes go on sale this Friday (March 23) at noon ET via the fest's site. Click the poster to see the full lineup (minus the "and more!" artists not yet listed).
