Yo La Tengo is ringing in the holidays with eight crazy nights of sold out Hanukkah shows — and they just announced their opening acts. On the first night of Hanukkah the Mad Scene will open. The next night will see PG Six, then Tortoise, followed by the Sun Ra Arkestra, Half Japanese, Volcano Suns, the Scene is Now, and Lois. All eight shows are set to take place at Maxwell’s in Hoboken, New Jersey, and all eight are already sold out. Ticketless Jews will just have to find another nondenominational way to spend their Christmas Night.
