But first comes Odonis Odonis’ horrifying take on a classic, Johnny Cash’s “Ring of Fire.” Frontman Dean Tzenos strips the iconic song of its country twang, instead offering a deadpan vocal from the post-punk abyss, while bassist Denholm Whale and drummer Jarod Gibson do right by the band’s self-coined “industrial surf-gaze” tag.
