Noel Gallagher Plots Solo Album
The other smack talking half of Oasis' songwriting brotherhood, Noel Gallagher, has revealed plans for a forthcoming solo album, NME.com reports. The Britpop icon, who recently performed a string of shows in London clubs, revealed that he's taking steps toward a solo record "between Oasis world tours." And although Gallagher admits to spending too long penning tunes, some which are lost when Oasis reconvenes, he has a "backlog now of about four or five songs" aligned for the forthcoming album. "It's coming," he stated.
But Oasis fans have no grounds to fret, Gallagher also exposed blueprints for the band's follow up to 2005's Don't Believe the Truth. "The next one in theory is already fucking written. I've got eight songs that I'm pretty happy with. I think Liam's got one or two that he thinks are brilliant," Gallagher told NME.com, "It's just a case of sitting down and saying, 'When do we want to do this?'"
