Nirvana Follow Rock Hall Induction With Guest-Packed Secret Show

Nirvana, secret show, Brooklyn, Rock Hall, St. Vitus

Nirvana’s performances last night didn’t end with the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame induction ceremony, where the band’s surviving members played with Joan Jett, Lorde, Kim Gordon, and St. Vincent. As Brooklyn Vegan notes, drummer Dave Grohl, bassist Krist Novoselic, and longtime guitarist Pat Smear headed over after the event to Brooklyn’s 350-capacity (per BillboardSaint Vitus, where they put on an unannounced show. Lorde must’ve had another engagement, but Jett, Gordon, and St. Vincent a.k.a. Annie Clark all took the stage with the Nirvana members again, plus J Mascis (who almost joined Nirvana) and Deer Tick’s John McCauley (whose band covered all of In Utero). Pitchfork points to some fan video from the event — check it out below, read up on the ceremony’s best moments, and scroll down for the set list.
