Nightlands' Dave Hartley recently showed off his neighborhood of Fishtown (located in northeastern Philadelphia) for a SPIN photo diary, and now the Best New Artist honoree offers a more surreal look at his surroundings via the video for the horn-adorned "I Fell in Love With a Feeling," off his second full-length, Oak Island. The two-minute clip follows the silver-painted War on Drugs bassist as he and a similarly shiny buddy wander the outdoors and are pursued by floating globs of liquid metal a la Terminator 2. Everywhere they go, the duo sees shape-shifting puddles, disco balls, trumpets, and more. As the David Kessler-directed video's YouTube page puts it: "Two metallic men are surrounded by fluctuating metallic shapes." Simple, but to the point.
