And for fans heading to SXSW this week, don't miss My Morning Jacket March 13 at the Austin Music Hall, or James' solo set March 15 at St. David's Church.

Though Kurt Cobain has one of most recognized names in rock'n'roll, and, you know, killed himself over 14 years ago, the Nirvana leader has become the victim of identity theft, the NY Daily News reports via the UK Sun. According to reports, the thieves used the grunge rocker's name to purchase a $3 million New Jersey mansion, plus numerous luxury cars, and may have looted his estate for as much as $72 million with as many as 188 faulty credit cards. "I know who they are," Cobain's widow Courtney Love told the Sun of the culprits. "It had been going on since when I went cuckoo, bananas, in 2003." [Via thedailyswarm.com]

After a ten year hiatus, Free Kitten, the side project/supergroup featuring Sonic Youth's Kim Gordon, Pussy Galore's Julie Cafritz, and the Boredoms' Yoshimi P-We, will return May 20 with Inherit, the follow-up to 1997's Sentimental Education, out courtesy of Thuston Moore's Ecstatic Peace label. Though the new record doesn't feature contributions from onetime bassist Mark Ibold (ex-Pavement), Inherit will showcase the guitar work of yet another alt-rock shredder:Dinosaur Jr. frontman J Mascis.
