News Roundup: Kurt Cobain, New York Dolls, X

Just in case you missed it on the silver screen, About a Son, director AJ Schnack‘s innovative, moving documentary featuring previously unheard interviews with Kurt Cobain compiled by journalist and Cobain biographer Michael Azerrad, will be released to DVD Feb. 19 via Shout Factory. Oh, and just a reminder, the soundtrack kicks ass, too! [Via Punknews.org]

New York Dolls, the uncrowned kings of lipstick caked glam, which many a board walker caught live this past summer at Coney Island’s Siren Fest, will hit the road this winter/spring on a 20-date nationwide tour. Leather heels and glitter-dusted make-up optional.
