New Video: Black Lips' Psychedelic Cartoon

Video

It's Saturday morning cartoons on mescaline, Black Lips style!

In their music video for "Short Fuse," a garage rock tune off their SPIN-approved new album, 200 Million Thousand, the Atlanta "flower punk" quartet employ Scooby Doo-like animation to depict random, seizure-inducing, eye-popping images, from a short-tempered drunk to an assassinated Humpty Dumpty. The band even make a cameo in the video and blow up the earth with a truck load of TNT.

Don't light me up / I got a short fuse / You might get hurt," sings drummer Joe Bradley. Then, kaboom!
