New Snow Patrol Album Out October 28
The frosty Irish rockers Snow Patrol are hoping to melt their fans hearts with their hotly-titled upcoming fifth album, A Hundred Million Suns. The record, the follow-up to 2006's massively successful Eyes Open, is set for an October 28 release via Polydor/Fiction/Geffen, with album cut "Take Back the City" as the first single.

Suns was recorded in Berlin, Germany's Hansa Studios -- where Bowie's "Berlin" series was born -- with producer Jacknife Lee (Bloc Party, REM) manning production duties. "I'm so proud of this record. Everybody played out of their skin," said Snow Patrol vocalist/guitarist Gary Lightbody. "[Jacknife Lee] continued his progression from maverick genius to one of the best producers in the world. Musically, lyrically and sonically the best record we've made." Sounds good -- just don't stay out in the sun too long, boys!
