New Download from the Big Sleep

The Big Sleep -- the Brooklyn-based trio of Danny Barria (guitar), Sonya Balchandani (bass), and Gabe Rhodes (drums) -- are slated to drop debut album Son of the Tiger Sept. 19, and we've scored that album's post-rock noodling number, "Shima." The slow-building track is light on lyrics and heavy on droning guitar riffs that swirl through subtle explosions of noise, and the last minute of the song is a mesmeric trawl through psych-kissed territory.
